The buildings that comprise The Veranda Bed & Breakfast were built in 1913 by Luther Black and used as a winter retreat from the Northeast for he and his wife. The buildings were originally renovated in the fall of 1993 and The Veranda Bed & Breakfast opened in the spring of 1994. The property consists of 5 buildings and has 11 rooms ranging in size from full studio to king suite. The Key Lime Cottage features 2 queen bedrooms/2 full baths, one with garden tub, a kitchen and living room. The Bridal Suite features a king four-poster bed and bath with clawfoot tub. All rooms have private entrance, cable TV and phone with voice mail. Rooms have mini-refrigerators, microwaves, some with kitchenettes and wet bars. The buildings have wrap-around porches and balconies. There is a swimming pool with oversized hot tub surrounded by lush tropical landscape in a private setting. There is a lovely courtyard which serves as the perfect setting for business, special gatherings or picturesque weddings for up to 200 people. The meeting room can accommodate up to 50 people with audio visual equipment available. Continental breakfast is served each morning. Evening wine and hors d'ouevres served twice weekly.
